Our two licensed surveyors have a combined experience in the surveying industry of 60+ years. We are seeking a focused and determined individual to be part of a two-person crew as a field technician. Duties Conduct land surveys using various survey instruments and tools to collect field data for mapping and boundary stake outs. Draw basic sketches of features of the land to assist the in-office draftsman with creating the final survey maps. Use a metal detector to locate survey stakes in the field. Collaborate with the surveyors, draftsmen and clients to ensure that survey results meet project specifications. Assist in heavy lifting tasks related to the setup of surveying equipment on-site. Maintain accurate records of all surveys conducted, including data collection methods and results. Requirements Must be physically capable of working on your feet and lifting equipment for 8+ hours. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Valid driver's license and personal vehicle. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients. Experience in land surveying is preferred.
