Overview Join our dynamic team as an Engineering/Survey Technician and play a vital role in supporting civil infrastructure projects through precise surveying, drafting, and technical analysis. Responsibilities Prepare detailed construction drawings, schematics, and technical plans using AutoCAD, and other CAD software. Assist in project scheduling and construction management tasks to keep projects on track from inception through completion. Support construction inspection efforts by reviewing construction plans, specifications, and ensuring compliance with design standards. Utilize GIS platforms such as ArcGIS and Microsoft Office tools for data analysis, mapping, and report generation. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate accurate construction execution and quality control. Collaborate with engineers on research & development initiatives related to civil infrastructure improvements like stormwater management systems or water/wastewater treatment facilities. Requirements Proven experience working on construction projects within a civil infrastructure or public works setting. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D), GIS tools (ArcGIS), Revit, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of construction drawings, plans, specifications, and schematics. Hands-on experience with land surveying techniques and field surveying equipment. Knowledge of construction inspection procedures including public works inspection standards. Mechanical knowledge related to water treatment or wastewater systems is a plus. Excellent math skills for data collection, measurements, and technical calculations. Ability to interpret technical documents accurately and produce detailed reports or technical writing as needed.
