Full-Time About This Role Our client, a well-established civil engineering and land surveying firm in Central Texas, is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to support survey projects from field data processing through final deliverables. This role offers a blend of CAD drafting, boundary research, and occasional field support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical and practical sides of surveying. You'll join a collaborative team known for mentorship, professional development, and long-term career growth. What You'll Do Prepare boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, easement, and construction survey drawings using Civil 3D Process and analyze field data from total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and data collectors Assist with boundary research, deed review, and public record analysis Prepare plats, easement exhibits, and legal descriptions under RPLS supervision Perform survey calculations, closures, and staking computations Conduct QA/QC reviews of drawings and survey deliverables Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, project managers, and field crews Provide occasional field support for survey projects as needed What You Need to Succeed 2+ years of survey drafting or survey technician experience Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D Experience processing survey field data Familiarity with boundary surveys, plats, legal descriptions, and survey calculations Experience with Trimble or similar survey equipment preferred Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively across field and office teams Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed Education Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match PTO and paid parental leave Professional licensure support Structured mentorship and career development opportunities
