85k / 120k What You'll Do- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept and planning through design, permitting, bidding, and construction.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, work plans, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Prepare and review technical reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents.
- Support municipal, commercial, residential, transportation, water, wastewater, stormwater, and site development projects.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, quality, and client expectations.
- Identify project risks and develop effective solutions.
- Participate in business development, proposal preparation, interviews, and client presentations.
- Mentor and support less-experienced engineers and technical staff.
- Coordinate with permitting agencies, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct occasional site visits and attend project and construction meetings. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer license, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- 5+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, including project management responsibility.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, teams, and client expectations.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, design standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar platforms.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, client-focused approach. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with municipal infrastructure, land development, transportation, water, wastewater, stormwater, or environmental projects.
- Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal permitting requirements.
- Experience mentoring engineers, designers, and project staff.
- Active participation in professional organizations or industry groups.
