We are a family-owned company and have been in business since 1979. We have the capability to self-perform our own earthwork, hauling, paving, structural/civil concrete, and underground utility operations. Our sister company, DPE Materials, provides aggregates and asphalt for our own construction projects as well. We are currently seeking applications for a highly motivated, experienced individual as a Motor Grader Operator . This position is based in Yuma, Arizona and is for full-time employment. The ideal candidate would have the following credentials to be considered: A minimum of 2 years of experience in mass earthwork and precision, surface grading on heavy civil construction projects (i.e. roads, runways building pads, slopes, ect.). Ability to run a motor grader is a requirement for this position, however, the ideal candidate will also have experience operating front-end loaders, scrappers, gannons, compactors, and the like. Experience operating GPS, preferably Trimble, systems for rough and finish grade is ideal for this position but not a deterrent for hiring; we are willing to train the right person on GPS equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and survey markers and stakes. Inspect equipment for deficiencies and report them in a timely manner to grading foreman/superintendent. Ability to work in a safe manner and follow all OSHA best practices/DPE company safety policies.
Require Skills and Abilities:
Advance knowledge of grading and ability to operate motor graders of various sizes/models. Prior knowledge of materials and techniques as they pertain to earthwork and fine grading. Knowledge of HCSS Field/360 Equipment and Trimble GPS System is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and survey markers and stakes. Bilingual preferred but not a requirement for this position. Clean driving record and valid driver's license. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. Communicate clearly and efficiently with foreman, supervisors, and fellow team members.
