Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description

Walden & Associates is a mid-sized Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm located in Irvine, California. Our primary projects are in Land Development, including commercial/industrial and residential developments. We also provide services to local public works agencies. We provide land planning, Tentative and Final Mapping as well as a full range of Land Development services including Surveying services for mapping, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys along with construction staking. We are currently looking for a Licensed Land Surveyor . The candidate must be a Licensed Land Surveyor in the state of California, with a minimum of 4-8 years' experience in land development and knowledge of overall development process including field surveying, mapping, topographic surveys, title report & boundary establishment. The Licensed Land Surveyor candidate should be capable of performing survey calculations, boundary analysis and field support calculations for various types of land development projects. Must have experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D software to produce subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys and other various survey related maps or exhibits. The candidate should be able to produce a survey project from start to finish including research, communicating and coordinating with other disciplines and clients and communicating and processing with local agencies, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and encourage teamwork, mentor field crew & office staff, have a high level of organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able and willing to sign & seal survey documents. Knowledge of commercial and residential construction is staking desired.
