Job Description

The County of Riverside's TLMA Department is currently seeking a paid intern. The intern will support the Transportation Surveyor Division. The in-person student internship position is based in Riverside County and offers a flexible work week consisting of up to 15 hours per week, with flexibility granted around academic obligations. The selected candidate can anticipate the internship to be 1 year in length. Under supervision, assists and participates in the work performed by employees of a specific profession; Through participation, receive supervised work experience in a specific professional vocation, and performs other related duties as required. The intern will be responsible for, but not limited to: Working on Capital Improvement Projects, CADD Drafting, Research, and Records Management. Working in the field as a part of a survey crew. Assisting with construction staking. Assisting with preliminary surveys and topographic surveys. The intern should expect to gain hands-on experience with CADD Drafting, MicroStation and InRoads, land records research, budgeting, field surveying, leveling, construction staking, GIS map creation. Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to collaborate in a team-oriented environment, enhancing their communication and teamwork skills.
Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average :
2.5 GPA required. Proof of most current unofficial/official transcript with cumulative GPA must be provided at time of application as well as a resume.
Education:
Applicants must be currently enrolled/attending school at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, or a recent graduate.

Engineering or similar,
