A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Survey Party chief will lead a one or two person crew in daily construction staking. This includes the ability to properly calculate design points for Roadways and Bridges both in the office as well as on the spot in the field from Construction Plans
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in all phases of highway and/or land development staking.
  • Experience operating GPS, total stations and Dini Digital Levels
  • Review Heavy Civil constructions plans and provide accurate calculations
  • Fluent in Trimble Business Center Cogo and Surface creation
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook and other standard Microsoft Office software
  • Dependable and willing to learn
  • A valid driver's license.
