Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD / Civil 3D Technician to support civil engineering and utility infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will transform field and survey data into accurate construction plans, design drawings, and as-built record drawings.This position requires strong hands-on AutoCAD Civil 3D experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers and field personnel. Required Qualifications 5+ years of relevant CAD drafting/design experience in a civil engineering environment. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is mandatory. Solid understanding of civil design principles, survey data, coordinate systems, and projections. Experience preparing construction plans and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in drafting, civil engineering, or a related field. Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) certification. Experience with utility, water infrastructure, pipeline, or similar civil construction projects. Experience working with Trimble GPS and field survey data. Experience with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS or QGIS. Basic scripting or VBA experience. Experience producing as-built/record drawings from field information.
Note:
Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have strong Civil 3D drafting experience combined with a background in civil infrastructure, utilities, water, pipeline, or related construction projects. Candidates should be comfortable working with survey and field data, preparing detailed construction documents, and collaborating with engineers and field teams.Candidates who can work independently, maintain high drafting standards, and contribute to improving CAD workflows are strongly encouraged to apply.
Pay:
