What You'll Do As a Nurse Surveyor, you'll work as part of a multidisciplinary survey team traveling throughout the Louisville region to evaluate healthcare facilities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities include:
Travel to healthcare facilities throughout the region as part of a survey team Participate in survey planning meetings and team assignments Conduct comprehensive evaluations of healthcare facilities Observe resident care, medication administration, wound care, dining services, activities, and overall quality of life Assess facility operations, environment, and staff performance Interview residents, family members, and healthcare staff Investigate complaints and incidents involving resident care Document findings and complete surveys in accordance with federal and state regulations Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate documentation Collaborate with survey team members to ensure consistent and thorough evaluations
Qualifications Required:
Active Kentucky RN license Previous bedside nursing experience Long-term care (LTC) experience or strong clinical nursing background Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Louisville region Strong communication, documentation, and critical thinking skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred:
Long-term care experience Survey, compliance, or quality assurance experience Investigation or regulatory experience Training & Career Growth This position includes an extensive 6-month paid training program, where you'll complete on-site training and shadow experienced Nurse Surveyors. Upon successful conversion to a permanent employee, you'll become eligible to complete the State Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) certification and continue your career as a certified Nurse Surveyor.
