Long-Term Care Nurse Surveyor (RN)Position Overview We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a team responsible for conducting on-site surveys of long-term care facilities to ensure compliance with federal certification and state licensure requirements. In this field-based role, you will evaluate the quality of care, quality of life, resident safety, and overall facility operations while helping maintain high standards of healthcare delivery. Frequent travel to healthcare facilities throughout the assigned region Responsibilities Conduct on-site surveys using federal and state regulations, protocols, and procedures. Evaluate healthcare facilities for compliance with certification and licensure requirements. Assess the quality of resident care, quality of life, facility environment, and services provided. Serve as a survey team leader, team member, or complaint investigator as assigned. Observe resident care activities, including medication administration, wound care, meals, and daily living activities. Interview residents, family members, and facility staff to gather information and investigate concerns. Investigate complaints and incidents involving resident care and facility operations. Determine deficiencies and document findings according to federal guidelines. Participate in team meetings to review survey plans, assignments, and findings. Prepare accurate reports and maintain thorough documentation of survey results. QualificationsRequired Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability and willingness to travel throughout Kentucky.
