Are you an experienced Survey Crew Chief looking for your next opportunity? We're seeking a skilled land surveying professional to lead field operations on transportation, municipal, highway, and infrastructure projects throughout the region. If you have experience with construction staking, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, right-of-way surveys, Trimble GPS equipment, robotic total stations , and enjoy working both independently and with project teams, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do As a Survey Crew Chief, you'll lead survey field operations while ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency on a variety of civil engineering projects. Responsibilities Lead and perform field surveying activities independently or as part of a two-person survey crew. Conduct construction staking, right-of-way, topographic, boundary, and design surveys. Perform surveys for highway, roadway, municipal, and infrastructure projects. Operate Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and other modern survey equipment. Coordinate daily field schedules and manage survey activities. Maintain survey equipment and ensure proper calibration. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and construction teams. Ensure field data is collected accurately and efficiently. Assist with CADD drafting and civil engineering technician work when field work is not scheduled. What We're Looking ForPreferred Qualifications Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in land surveying or construction surveying.
Experience with:
Construction staking Topographic surveys Boundary surveys Right-of-way surveys Proficiency using Trimble GPS and robotic survey equipment . Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and within a project team. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand and walk for extended periods. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$80,000-$110,000 , based on experience and qualifications.
