A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

This Licensed Surveyor role is a key leadership opening with hands-on project management, mentoring, and quality control at the center of the work. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Licensed Surveyor position include: Nevada Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) preferred; strong survey project management experience considered Mid-to-senior level experience managing survey projects and leading teams Ability to mentor and train junior survey staff Strong client communication and relationship-building skills Comfort reviewing survey deliverables to ensure accuracy and QA/QC Experience with boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking Primarily office-based presence in Reno (approximately 90% office / 10% field) Support department scheduling, field checks, and coordination with third-party surveyors
Salary:
$130,000-$170,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits:
