What they do

A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

About us Dunes Land Surveying is professional land surveying firm in Myrtle Beach, SC. We are professional, agile and our goal is to provide Land Surveying and engineering support services for a wide range of clientele .
Our work environment includes:

Responsibilities:
  • Assist surveyors in conducting field surveys and data collection
  • Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors
  • Assist in the preparation of survey reports and maps
  • Conduct research to obtain necessary information for survey projects
  • Assist in the construction of survey monuments and markers
  • Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
  • Utilize hand tools to set up and take down surveying equipment
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a survey technician or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with surveying equipment and techniques
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and analysis
