The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying techniques, including proficiency in using advanced equipment and software. As a Party Chief, you will be responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring accuracy in data collection, and maintaining project timelines. Some travel will be required. Tice is a full-service engineering and surveying company that surveys from Texas to Florida. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of survey technicians in the field to execute surveying projects efficiently. Prepare and review survey data, schematics, and reports for accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Utilize trigonometry and algebra to perform calculations necessary for precise measurements. Operate surveying instruments such as total stations, levels, and GPS equipment. Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure project requirements are met. Train and mentor junior staff on surveying techniques and equipment usage. Maintain equipment and ensure it is calibrated correctly for optimal performance. Qualifications Proven experience as a Party Chief or similar role in land surveying. Strong understanding of trigonometry, algebra, and other mathematical principles relevant to surveying. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols. Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members.
