Job Description

Position Summary:
The Environmental Sustainability Analyst supports Calbee America's environmental compliance, sustainability, and ESG initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations. This role is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals seeking to develop expertise in environmental compliance, sustainability reporting, data analytics, greenhouse gas accounting, and continuous improvement. The Analyst will partner with operations, EHS, CI and leadership teams to monitor environmental performance, support regulatory compliance efforts, analyze sustainability metrics, and contribute to projects that advance Calbee America's environmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sustainability & Environmental Programs:
Assist with the collection, organization, and analysis of environmental and sustainability data across multiple facilities. Support company initiatives focused on reducing energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, waste generation, and overall environmental impact. Track sustainability performance metrics and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders. Assist in monitoring progress toward corporate sustainability goals and objectives. Greenhouse Gas (GHG)
Data Management:
Collect utility and operational data to support greenhouse gas emissions inventories. Assist in calculating, tracking, and reporting GHG emissions for company operations. Maintain environmental databases and records to support annual sustainability reporting requirements. Analyze trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Environmental Compliance Support:
Assist with maintaining environmental permits and compliance records related to Air Quality, Wastewater, Stormwater, Hazardous Waste, and Water Supply Systems. Support environmental inspections and audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Assist in preparing reports, permit applications, and regulatory documentation. Conduct routine environmental compliance reviews and facility inspections. Verify environmental records and performance data for accuracy. Prepare summaries of findings and assist with corrective action tracking. Maintain organized environmental files and records. Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and data summaries for management. Support special environmental and sustainability projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Engineering, Natural Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field; OR Associate degree with relevant internship experience or environmental/sustainability-related work experience. 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing with a focus in environmental health/ safety or sustainability. Basic understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability principles. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
