The Sustainability Compliance & Risk Analyst supports enterprise reporting and governance by ensuring sustainability and compliance data is accurate, complete, and aligned to internal controls and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on identifying data-driven risks, strengthening reporting processes, and enabling continuous improvement in data quality, policies, and controls. Working under guidance, this individual helps analyze risk signals within data, supports compliance reporting and education efforts, and contributes to building scalable, well-governed data and reporting frameworks across the business. What You Will Do Compliance Data & Internal Controls Support collection, validation, and monitoring of compliance and sustainability data Assess data alignment to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and control weaknesses Contribute to documentation and standardization of reporting processes Risk Identification & Data Analysis Analyze data to identify compliance, operational, and reporting risks Support development and tracking of mitigation and corrective actions Assist in evaluating risk trends, indicators, and reporting outputs Contribute to improving visibility of risks through data-driven insights Policy & Reporting Frameworks Support development and maintenance of data-aligned policies and procedures Ensure reporting practices align with regulatory, audit, and business needs Assist in evaluating effectiveness of compliance reporting frameworks Contribute to scalable, repeatable governance and reporting structures Process Improvement & Reporting Efficiency Analyze reporting processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas Support process mapping, data flow documentation, and optimization Assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting compliance-related data Contribute to automation and standard work for consistent reporting Education, Communication & Stakeholder Support Support communication of data insights, risks, and reporting outputs to stakeholders Assist in compliance education through data-driven examples and reporting Partner cross-functionally to clarify data requirements and expectations Prepare summaries, dashboards, and reports to support decision-making What You Will Have Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, Sustainability, or related field Early experience in data reporting, compliance, risk, or process support Strong attention to detail with ability to validate and manage structured and unstructured data Working knowledge of data visualization and process mapping tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Visio) Basic analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills Ability to follow defined processes while identifying data and reporting improvements Top Candidate Will Have Experience with sustainability, compliance, or regulatory reporting (e.g., ESG, audit, internal controls) Proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau for dashboarding and data visualization Experience using Visio or similar tools to document data flows and reporting processes Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and reporting standardization concepts Experience supporting process improvement or system/data enhancements Ability to translate business requirements into data structures, reports, or insights Impact This role strengthens enterprise reporting by improving data quality, visibility, and governance across compliance and sustainability domains. By enabling accurate, standardized, and scalable reporting, the role supports regulatory readiness, reduces risk, and drives more informed, data-driven decision-making across the business.
Summary Pay Range:
$112,704.00 - $169,056.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
