Position Summary:
Hiring compensation range: $ 20.11 to $ 27.04 depending on qualifications.
Job Summary:
Sustainability associates are expected to spend approximately 10-15 hours per week working on sustainability initiatives, projects, or topics assigned by the Office of Sustainability. Collaboration with other interns, office staff, and faculty is required. Associates must be dependable, work well independently, manage time effectively, be able to problem solve, comfortable working outside in the heat, and communicate well with various stakeholders.
Job Duties:
Student engagement
  • building student engagement activities, promoting zero-waste efforts, maintaining various gardening projects, filed trips, event planning. Data collection
  • tracking and managing sustainability data, STARS reporting, research that guides future policy Establish and maintain communication
  • construct and maintain working relationships with various groups in the college (SGA, facilities, administration, students, faculty, other) Content creation
  • writing newsletter articles, social media content, manage, video editing Minimum Qualifications Masters in sustainability, environmental science, public policy, or equivalent
