Medical Device Test Technician Location:
Chicago, IL (Ravenswood area)
Job Type:
Full-Time OverviewSterling Engineering is seeking a Medical Device Test Technician to perform hands-on testing of medical devices in a regulated manufacturing/laboratory environment. This role will test products, analyze results, document findings, and report failures or out-of-specification results. Must HaveMust Have hands-on testing experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, quality, or product testing environment.

Must Have experience using test, measurement, or analytical equipment.

Must Have ability to analyze test results against specifications and accurately document findings.

Must Have strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Must Have experience following detailed test procedures, SOPs, or work instructions.

Must Have ability to identify and report failures, deviations, errors, or OOS results.

Highly PreferredHighly Preferred medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing experience.

Highly Preferred experience with force, torque, balance, or precision measurement equipment.

Highly Preferred FDA, ISO, GMP, or GLP experience.

Highly Preferred backgrounds as a Test Technician, Medical Device Test Technician, Product Test Technician, Quality Technician, Laboratory Technician, Mechanical Test Technician, or Electronics Test Technician.

ResponsibilitiesPerform testing on medical devices using force, torque, balance, and other analytical equipment.

Analyze and interpret test data against established specifications.

Document test results, observations, and findings.

Report failures, deviations, and OOS results and support follow-up activities.

Maintain a clean, organized laboratory and follow applicable Good Laboratory Practices.
Must Have:
Strong technical, analytical, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
Highly Preferred:
Experience testing medical devices or other regulated products.
Must Have:
Ability to follow established testing procedures and accurately interpret results.
Highly Preferred:
Experience with precision measurement or mechanical/electronic test equipment.
