Full Job Description Position Overview:
Electronics Test & Repair Technician:
Component-Level Troubleshooting & Calibration Lockport, IL 60441 | Onsite Full-Time $27-$36/hour DOE Build, Test & Troubleshoot Precision Electronics Vitrek develops advanced solutions for electrical safety testing, high-speed data acquisition, precision measurement, and metrology. We're looking for a hands-on Electronics Test & Repair Technician who enjoys diagnosing challenging technical problems and working directly with sophisticated electronic systems. In this role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, assemble, and test precision instruments while working closely with engineering and production teams. If you enjoy finding the root cause of an electronic failure and bringing equipment back to peak performance, this is an opportunity to put your technical expertise to work. What You'll Do Troubleshoot and repair PCB assemblies to the component level using schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic techniques Perform calibration, final assembly, and functional testing of precision electronic instruments Diagnose and repair customer-returned equipment and restore it to operational specifications Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test equipment to identify and resolve issues Maintain accurate repair records, production documentation, and inventory information Follow established manufacturing, testing, and quality procedures Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and product reliability Collaborate with engineering, production, sales, purchasing, and customers to resolve technical issues What You Bring Required Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent military/technical training 2+ years of hands-on electronics troubleshooting and repair experience Strong understanding of electronic theory and circuitry Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation Experience using electronic test and diagnostic equipment Ability to troubleshoot methodically and identify root causes Preferred SMT soldering and de-soldering experience Experience in a manufacturing or electronics production environment Strong attention to detail and precision Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Clear communication and collaborative problem-solving skills Why Join Vitrek? $27-$36/hour , based on experience Multiple medical plan options, including PPO Multiple dental plan options Vision coverage Long-term disability and group life/AD&D Voluntary short-term disability, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and term life coverageSIMPLE IRA
