This position is responsible for operating automated test equipment to test, troubleshoot, and verify the performance of avionics components throughout the repair process. The ideal candidate has experience working with automated test systems in an electronics or avionics repair environment and is comfortable following established testing procedures, scripts, and work instructions. Programming experience is preferred, but this is not a software development position. Responsibilities Operate Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to perform functional and diagnostic testing of avionics components. Execute pre-written automated test prompts, scripts, and procedures accurately. Enter supplied test prompts and commands into automated testing software. Follow detailed work instructions, engineering documentation, and test procedures. Interpret test results and identify failures or abnormalities. Assist in troubleshooting component-level failures using test equipment and engineering documentation. Document test results and maintain accurate repair records. Work closely with Engineering and Repair Technicians to resolve test failures. Verify repaired units meet quality and performance requirements prior to release. Maintain calibration awareness and proper handling of test equipment. Follow FAA Part 145 procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements. QualificationsRequired 2+ years of experience using Automated Test Equipment (ATE), preferably in an electronics or avionics environment. Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies or components. Ability to follow detailed written procedures and work instructions. Basic understanding of electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies. Strong computer skills and comfort using software-based test systems. Good documentation and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station. Component-level avionics repair or testing experience. Familiarity with automated test scripts or command-line interfaces. Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python, LabVIEW, C#, or similar) is a plus, but writing code is not required. Experience entering and executing pre-written automated test prompts or scripts. Familiarity with AI-assisted or automated testing workflows. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and enjoys troubleshooting electronic systems. They do not need to develop software or write test programs but should be comfortable operating automated test systems, entering provided prompts or commands, and following structured procedures to produce consistent test results.
