Test Lab Tech I | $26-$29/hr

Test Technician Pay Rate and Hours:

7am to 3:30pm $26•29/hr

Test Technician Purpose:

Individual with a high mechanical aptitude required for conducting performance and NPSH testing on vertical and horizontal pumps. Test Tech I support the Test Tech II with the safe connection of Electrical Components. Test Tech I will collects/records test data for input in to testing program and preliminary review of test results. The following equipment will be used daily: hand tools, forklift trucks, cranes, alignment equipment, and impact wrenches. The Test Tech I will support/guide the Test Lab Mechanic in the installation of the pumps. The Test Tech II will support the Test Engineer in creation of Test Plans/setups and with Test Lab Maintenance/improvements. The individual must have good organization skills and good verbal and written communication skills.

Test Technician Responsibilities:

Ability to Read and understand engineering drawings/prints and work instructions Support Installation of Piping, Valves, pumps, motors and instrumentation per instructions Support Alignment of pump/motor assembly with proper alignment tools Measure and record vital setup information General Housekeeping required by a laboratory setting Safe operation of Overhead cranes and forklifts Support Test Engineer in determination of requirements for testing Connection of electric components (VFD power Supply etc) Runs Performance Test•Recording key test data Generate Test results (curves) using software Preliminary evaluation of

Test Results Test Technician Requirements:

High School Diploma / GED Required 2 year technical Degree•Electrical preferred or Relevant Experience (2 yrs.)•Rotating Equipment preferred

Test Technician Experience:

Basic Math Print reading Knowledge/experience with Hand Tools Fork lift trucks overhead cranes laser alignment equipment Safe Electrical Practices Basic Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

Test Technician Physical Requirements:
