Job Description

Shifts Available Shift A:
Sunday
  • Tuesday from 6:00 am
  • 6:00 pm & Wednesday from 6:00 am
  • 12:00 pm
Shift C:
Wednesday from 12:00 pm
  • 6:00 pm & Thursday
  • Saturday from 6:00 am
  • 6:00 pm The Test Technician will be responsible for performing technical testing and evaluation of products, systems, or components to ensure they meet established quality standards and technical specifications.
This role is essential for detecting defects, verifying product reliability, and supporting continuous improvement in development and production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and differentiate between various barcode types used in the workflow.
  • Recognize and understand the different types of racks and their designated uses.
  • Accurately place work units into the appropriate racks according to established procedures.
  • Perform HiPot (high potential) tests on work units to ensure electrical safety and compliance.
  • Inspect and verify the condition and functionality of electrical outlets and sockets.
  • Support team development by sharing knowledge and promoting adherence to safety and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Technical school or equivalent; formal education may be substituted with relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Systems; 3 years preferred.
  • Proficient in using testing equipment, measurement tools, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Skilled in performing electrical and safety tests, including HiPot testing.
  • Familiarity with barcode systems and rack placement procedures.
  • Basic computer and reporting skills for documentation and data entry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Skills:
  • Proficient in hardware troubleshooting and basic command-line operations.
  • Skilled in using testing equipment, measurement tools, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Experienced in performing electrical and safety tests, including HiPot testing.
  • Familiarity with barcode systems and proper rack placement procedures.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and data entry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
Education/Experience:
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing testing on the production floor.
  • Regular physical activity including lifting, moving, and positioning equipment or work units.
  • Ability to climb ladders or access elevated racks and testing areas safely.
  • Manual dexterity to handle electronic components, cables, and testing instruments with precision.
  • Capability to lift and carry equipment or materials (typically up to 25-50 lbs. as needed).
  • Visual acuity to read barcodes, monitor test results, and identify defects or irregularities.
  • Ability to perform repetitive testing tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Frequent use of hands for operating diagnostic tools, connecting hardware, and data entry.
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing and warehouse environment with climate control.
  • Regular exposure to production floors, server racks, and testing stations.
  • Fast-paced setting with high-volume testing and strict quality standards.
  • Frequent interaction with production teams, engineers, and other technicians.
  • Work involves both stationary testing and movement between racks, stations, and departments.
  • Exposure to electrical systems and testing equipment, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • May require overtime or extended hours based on production demands.
Emphasis on organization, safety compliance, and adherence to testing procedures and standards.
