Test Technician (R&O)

Shift Compensation:

$32.32 - $48.62 per hour About the Role We are seeking experienced Electronics Technicians to join our Repair & Overhaul (R&O) team. You will test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic components and electro‑mechanical assemblies used in aviation and other regulated environments. This role requires strong diagnostic ability, attention to detail, and the capability to work independently. Key Responsibilities Interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. Test and analyze electronic units using standard diagnostic equipment. Perform component‑level and board‑level repairs using soldering and rework tools. Conduct manual and automated testing including ATE, oscilloscopes, DMMs, HiPot testers, thermal chambers, and more. Troubleshoot electronic failures and support less experienced technicians. Maintain detailed documentation and accurate test records. Identify and resolve equipment or component issues, including coordination with vendors. Support customer interactions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Follow all safety and compliance procedures. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of electronics or electro‑mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience. Strong understanding of circuitry, testing methods, and repair procedures. Ability to learn and operate new test software and equipment. Strong communication, reasoning, and time‑management abilities. AA degree in Electronics or Mechanical Technology required, OR equivalent work experience. Preferred Qualifications Component‑level troubleshooting ( must‑have ). Experience in aviation, avionics, FAA, or other regulated environments. Familiarity with FAA Part 145 repair‑station practices.

Experience with:

400Hz AC power Analog flight systems Embedded systems & circuit boards Manual electronic testing Power supply repair ATE, oscilloscopes, DMMs, HiPot testers, signal generators, thermal chambers, spectrum analyzers Soldering skills (IPC‑7711/7721 preferred). Strong ability to navigate engineering documents and reference files. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams. Fast learner with strong attention to detail and ability to meet quick turnaround demands. Diagram/drawing interpretation test required during interview (Teams acceptable; laptop/tablet required). Work Environment & Physical Requirements Standard repair‑station environment with required PPE (safety glasses, masks, gowning, wrist straps). Possible exposure to noise, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust, or fumes. Approximately 20% standing and 80% sitting. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and push up to 100 lbs. Regular use of computers for documentation.
