  • Responsibilities and typical duties:
  • + Be an integral part of our
WORLD CLASS RAIL DESIGN
group + Develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications + Perform quality control reviews and design checks of railroad projects + Lead major tasks + Ensure compliance with all federal, state & local regulations Overhead Catenary System (OCS) + Serves as a project manager on mid-large size projects + Coordinates team and provides technical expertise for mid-large size projects + Will develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications + Leads technical client relationships related to design, construction and phasing of the work. + Coordinates with multiple departments related to a projects scope of work. + Mentors staff to develop a team to support work throughout New England and beyond. + Strong analytical and communication skills + Develop and maintain strong client relationships with clients Additional Information Help for Additional Information.   • Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements
  • + BA/BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Professional Engineer (PE) + Valid US Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must have a Valid Driver's License and pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + 10 years' experience in railway systems (Overhead Catenary Systems/Traction Power).
+ 6 years of related experience in railway (overhead catenary systems, traction power, track). + Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads or OpenRail + Experience working with Connecticut Department of Transportation, Metro-North Railroad, Amtrak, MBTA, or other passenger/commuter railroad agencies + Work on multiple projects simultaneously + Excellent written and communication skills
