About the role, Your Impact Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a transportation engineer in our Peoria, IL offices. This position will primarily consist of design engineering efforts with field exposure on a variety of transportation projects for State, County, and Local Agencies. A knowledge of designing roadway, drainage, and underground improvements with Geopak/OpenRoads Designer is preferred. This team-orientated position will include working with Baxter & Woodman's diverse disciplines and offices within the transportation and construction fields. What your day-to-day will look like Design Roadway, Drainage, Underground Utility, and Infrastructure improvements using Geopak/OpenRoads Designer. Conduct drainage, traffic, and various engineering studies. Complete general civil engineering services for municipal, county and state clients. Complete engineering plans and specifications using IDOT Standards. Assist senior staff with client management, project pursuits, and business development. Assist project engineers and managers by making significant decisions on a wide variety of tasks required during project delivery. Coordinate construction activities with clients, inspectors, contractors and public agencies. Conduct on-site observation of work, repairs, and tests as needed. Assist with maintaining job site records of daily reports, job meeting minutes, approved drawings, and pay requests as needed. Education/License Requirements B.S. degree in Civil Engineering Must-haves, what you will bring At least 2 years of relevant job experience working on municipal or highway agency transportation projects. Work within a team-first culture that encourages individual development and aplishment of goals. Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman's service area (own transportation). Ability to independently handle a variety of ongoing tasks and responsibilities. Strong written, verbal,puter andanizational skills. Preferred Qualifications E.I.T (Engineer in Training) certification. P.E. (Professional Engineer) license. Compensation - The pay range for this role is $83,000 to $100,000. Actualpensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications. You matter!
