Job Description The Locale:

Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is also about three hours from Atlanta, GA. Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer in Troy, AL supporting program and / or functional Quality.

Program Quality Engineering activities include:

Interfacing with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel. Investigate and work non-conformance issues through to root cause/corrective action. Seek continuous improvement through involvement in product, process, and surveillance audit/assessment activities, complete Hardware Quality Audits (HQAs) and Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) Walk Downs, Work Audit findings to root cause and implement corrective and preventive measures, etc. Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

• ## Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance and must have at least an interim secret clearance prior to start.
• Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
• ## Desired Skills Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Mechanical or industrial engineering degree. Or Engineering degree in related, technical field.
• VBA coding skills. (Excel)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
• Quality discipline internship or DoD Industry internship.
• Ability to work with a team in a fast paced environment.

  $58200.00
