We are seeking a motivated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting quality systems, conducting investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions for internally produced products and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of
ISO 9001, AS
9100, and/or AS 9110 quality systems, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions. This role will play an important part in driving continuous improvement, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining a strong quality culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough quality investigations and coordinate the communication of failure analysis reports with internal stakeholders. Analyze quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, root causes, and opportunities for improvement. Provide analysis and recommendations for corrective actions related to nonconformities, process issues, and design problems. Perform escape management, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities for internally produced products and processes. Lead and coordinate quality meetings with stakeholders to advance investigations and achieve effective, sustainable conclusions. Perform Customer Return Material (CRM) investigations as required. Mentor and support team members on quality-related issues while fostering a collaborative, proactive quality culture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. Support Site Quality Engineering roles and responsibilities as needed. Maintain a strong working knowledge of applicable quality management systems and industry standards. Contribute to the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Support efforts to improve product quality, process capability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Working knowledge and understanding of
ISO 9001, AS
9100, and/or AS 9110 quality systems. Computer proficient, with experience using MRP, ERP, and SAP systems. Strong data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends, determine root causes, and develop effective corrective actions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with stakeholders and lead quality discussions. Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in electronic manufacturing and/or electronic assembly environments. Experience in aerospace manufacturing is a plus. Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus. Experience with quality investigation methodologies, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes. Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and manufacturing processes. Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package.
