•Wal-Tek Industries is seeking an experienced Senior Inspector and/or Quality Manager to lead our AS9100-certified CNC machining division. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining our Quality Management System, developing our inspection team, partnering with operations to drive continuous improvement, and ensuring our customers receive products that meet the highest standards of quality and precision. What You'll Do Lead and maintain our AS9100D Quality Management System Supervise and mentor quality inspectors and technicians Manage customer quality requirements, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives Oversee First Article Inspections (AS9102), FAIR packages, PPAPs, and customer documentation Drive root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and other structured problem-solving methods Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to improve quality, throughput, and first-pass yield Manage calibration, inspection equipment, and gage control systems Review engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements Ensure compliance with customer, aerospace, and regulatory requirements Lead internal audits and support customer and registrar audits Candidates with experience in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Quality Systems AS9100D Quality Management Systems

First Article Inspection (FAI) Internal & External Audits Customer Quality Requirements Supplier Quality Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) Risk-Based Thinking Document Control & Change Management Inspection & Metrology Programmable Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) PC-DMIS Programming (Highly Preferred) Vision Inspection Systems Optical Comparators Surface Finish Measurement Height Gages Bore Gages Micrometers & Calipers Gage Calibration & MSA Statistical Process Control (SPC) Manufacturing Experience CNC Milling CNC Turning Multi-Axis Machining Precision Machining Tight Tolerance Aerospace Manufacturing Blueprint Interpretation GD&T (ASME Y14.5) Process Validation First Pass Yield Improvement Lean Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Software & Systems PC-DMIS 1Factory (Preferred) Net-Inspect (Preferred) ERP/MRP Systems Microsoft Office Suite Certifications (Preferred) ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CMQ/OE) Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Lead Internal Auditor Training Qualifications 5+ years of quality leadership in precision machining, aerospace, medical, or defense manufacturing Strong working knowledge of AS9100D Experience leading audits and customer quality initiatives Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to read complex engineering drawings and apply GD&T Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Why Wal-Tek?
