Akkodis is seeking an Engineer - Quality II for a Contract job with a client in Carson, CA . The ideal candidate must have experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality Systems, Supplier Quality, and Continuous Improvement, along with a strong understanding of aerospace quality standards and quality assurance methodologies.

Rate Range:

$35/hour to $40/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Engineer - Quality II job responsibilities include: Provide quality engineering support to customers, suppliers, internal manufacturing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. Support customer quality initiatives, complaint investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts. Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to analyze supplier quality data, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure compliance with quality requirements. Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with customer and regulatory standards. Participate in internal quality audits, process audits, and supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality procedures and standards. Investigate quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and verify effectiveness of implemented solutions. Support process capability studies, process control plans, reliability evaluations, and manufacturing quality improvement programs.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution. 3-6 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, Process Improvement, Quality Assurance.

Strong knowledge of:

Root Cause Analysis, 8D Methodology, Statistical Analysis Tools, Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA), Process Capability Studies.

Experience supporting:

Quality Audits, Product Launches, Supplier Quality Programs, Process Validation, Inspection Systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of:

AS9100 AS9102 ISO 9001

Aerospace Quality Systems Experience with: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Methodologies, Supplier Quality Management, New Product Introduction (NPI), Reliability Engineering Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
