Salary:
$90,000 - $105,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer with strong experience in electronics manufacturing to support quality systems, product reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will play a key role in driving defect reduction, supporting new product introductions (NPI), and ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards. Why join us? SMT/PCBA
production lines, including soldering processes, inspection standards, and assembly quality Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys Partner with engineering, operations, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement Monitor and analyze key quality metrics (FPY, DPPM, scrap, rework) and implement improvement initiatives Support New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts to ensure quality standards are built into processes from the start Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits as needed Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001, IPC
standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001), and customer-specific requirements Review and approve first article inspections (FAI), control plans, PFMEAs, and process documentation Collaborate with suppliers on quality issues, including supplier corrective actions and performance tracking Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) preferred 4+ years of Quality Engineering experience in electronics manufacturing (SMT, PCBA, or EMS) Strong understanding of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) Experience with quality tools and methodologies (SPC, FMEA, CAPA, Lean/Six Sigma) Hands-on experience with inspection methods (AOI, X-ray, functional testing) Knowledge of soldering processes, reflow ovens, and PCB assembly Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally Proficiency in quality systems documentation and data analysis Preferred Qualifications Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification Experience in regulated industries (medical device, aerospace, defense) Familiarity with ERP/MES quality modules Interested in hearing more?
