In this role, you will set the vision for product quality across engineering organizations and drive it through complex, ambiguous programs that span multiple teams and geographic locations, for products that serve billions of people worldwide. You will operate as a force multiplier, partnering with engineering, infrastructure, and product leaders to raise the bar on quality at Meta's scale, and influencing senior stakeholders across regions on high-impact decisions. QA Engineering Lead, Product Quality Assurance Responsibilities:
Define and own the multi-year product quality strategy across one or more product organizations, influencing direction beyond your immediate team Lead complex, cross-functional quality programs that span multiple products and geographic locations, driving alignment across time zones, partners, and priorities Set the technical direction for the test strategy on business-critical, high-ambiguity initiatives to ensure product correctness and reliability before launch Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to drive scalable automation strategies that prevent regressions and ensure long-term product reliability Identify systemic quality gaps and opportunities, and drive organization-wide adoption of processes, tooling, and a quality-driven engineering culture Establish quality metrics and standards that measure test effectiveness, efficiency, and overall product quality Assess non-functional product quality (including i18n, l10n, a11y, performance, and stress) in partnership with specialized teams and translate findings into directions for product teams Mentor and grow quality and test engineers, raising the bar on quality practices across the organization Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership across geographies, to secure buy-in on critical quality decisions
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience 10+ years of quality engineering and/or test engineering experience Experience leading quality strategies and complex programs across multiple teams and geographic locations, including distributed onsite and offshore teams Experience with QA processes and methodologies, including planning, designing, and executing tests, and knowledge of performance and stress testing Experience in implementing and maintaining quality test automation for both mobile and web applications Experience coding in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++, or an equivalent programming language
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience defining scope, setting priorities, and driving progress on projects with incomplete or evolving requirements Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Experience with industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience driving organization-wide quality initiatives and influencing engineering organizations at a large scale Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including executive communications Experience working across multiple cross-functional engineering teams globally, spanning time zones and cultures Experiences leveraging data to improve product quality and drive measurable outcomes
