Mon-Fri - 7:00 AM start (must be available for overtime) Position Overview This position plays an integral role in supporting production by developing quality documentation, overseeing First Article Inspection (FAI) activities, resolving customer quality issues, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, analyzing data, and ensuring products consistently meet customer and industry requirements. Key Responsibilities Create, review, and maintain manufacturing quality documentation, including inspection plans, quality plans, and production routings. Evaluate manufacturing processes to ensure appropriate inspection and verification steps are incorporated throughout production. Coordinate and administer AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) activities, including determining FAI requirements, preparing inspection documentation, reviewing completed FAIR packages, and maintaining inspection records. Manage the customer return process from initial evaluation through resolution by investigating reported issues, coordinating inspections, generating work orders, and communicating status updates with customers. Analyze quality data, customer feedback, and return trends to identify recurring issues and support corrective and preventive action initiatives. Participate in contract and specification reviews to verify quality requirements are clearly defined prior to production. Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Operations teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and continuous quality enhancement. Assist with root cause investigations and support implementation of effective corrective actions. Ensure quality records and documentation remain accurate, organized, and compliant with company and customer requirements. Perform additional quality-related projects and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline; equivalent industry experience will also be considered. Approximately 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control role within a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience supporting AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) processes. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation. Familiarity with mechanical inspection methods and automated inspection equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
