Who are we looking for? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team at our West Haven manufacturing facility supporting the production of high-purity specialty chemicals used in semiconductor manufacturing. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting product and process quality, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and helping drive operational excellence across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who enjoys analyzing data, investigating and solving problems, and collaborating across multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What will you be doing? Work directly with Manufacturing and Operations to solve manufacturing quality related issues, analyze trends, and identify areas for process improvement. Support quality improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, risk reduction, mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke), and implementation of sustainable corrective and preventable actions. Participate in customer complaint investigations and OCAP activities by collecting and analyzing quality data, supporting root cause investigations, tracking corrective actions, and assisting in the preparation of investigation reports and response packages. Create and Update Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions that reflect best practices and adherence to QMS and
ISO/IATF
as well as customer specific requirements. Plan and perform Quality Systems and other types of Internal Audits aimed at QMS improvement and adherence to the
ISO 9001
2015 and
IATF 16949
Standard requirements. Contribute to developing management KPI's for tracking improvement progress. Partner with Engineering to ensure Corrective Action and 8-D reports are linked to Process and Product FMEA's and that FMEA's are reviewed and updated as required. Utilize quality and business systems including Minitab, Complaint Pro, Intelex, JDE, WinLIMS, and Microsoft Office Suite to analyze data, support investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Support Customer Quality system audits and third-party surveillance audits Analyze and report key quality metrics to the QA Manager and provide recommendations for process improvements. Participate in quality improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned. Who are You? Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, or a related technical role within a manufacturing or high-tech environment. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and familiarity with
IATF 16949, ISO
14001, or
ISO 45001
standards. Familiarity with lab software, Microsoft Office Suite, and comfortable learning tools such as Minitab, JDE, and Quality Management Software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage recurring tasks and meet deadlines. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities Able to work independently on day-to-day activities while collaborating closely with senior quality staff.
