Collaborate with and learn from experienced Engineers in our Electro-Optical & Infrared Systems line of business. Our Summer Internship Program offers a full-time, paid opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working in a culture defined by friendliness and teamwork at DRS. What sets us apart? Job Responsibilities Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments

Perform testing activities in an engineering lab environment and/ or outdoor field testing

Conduct imaging analysis under the supervision of engineers

Provide regular reporting of progress and status

Complete assigned tasks on time

Documentation of requirements, verification plans and test results

Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs, and practices

Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Assist in the development of plant layouts, manufacturing methods and process improvements

May coordinate maintenance projects Qualifications Must be actively enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate Engineering Program Have completed at least 2 years of college with a 3.0 GPA or better.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to solve complex problems using your natural curiosity.

Work effectively as a member of a team or on individual tasks.

Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) onsite

U.S. Citizenship status is required Additional Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Familiar with Matlab

Working experience in using lab equipment

Excellent attention to detail

Excellent written and oral communication skills

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
