Job Summary:
Provides program-level quality assurance for DoD ammunition production by overseeing manufacturing processes, ballistic testing, continuous improvement, and engineering collaboration. Ensures compliant, on-schedule delivery through effective resolution of technical quality issues and adherence to safety and contractual requirements. Supports program management with supplier, subcontractor, and customer quality matters. Implements program quality plans and procedures and actively identifies, communicates, and mitigates program risks. Impact of the

Essential Functions:
Lead the implementation, maturity assessment and improvement of all processes throughout the production lifecycle to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment. Leads program team members to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a quality and customer/stakeholder point of view. Identifies Quality Assurance activities to mitigate risk. Collaborate with the program team to develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets for quality activities. Validates effective internal controls system is in place to verify that processes continue to meet customer and stakeholder requirements. Performs audits on program delivery and ensures the use of Quality data analytics to identify risks and nonconformances and ensures that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken.
Required Qualifications:
Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other Engineering-related degree. Relevant Program Quality Engineering experience within Manufacturing, Military, Aerospace/Aviation, Medical industry. Knowledge, skills & abilities: Program Quality. Issue Resolution. KPI Management. Performance Analysis. Quality Audit. Quality Improvement. Regulatory Compliance. ISO9001:2015 Lead auditor or AS9100D Lead Auditor. Certified Quality Engineer, SharePoint, TipQA, Soft Expert, Minitab. Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings. Six Sigma Green Belt, Project Management Professional (PMP). Strong Mechanical Background. Willingness and ability to travel up to 25-50% of time, including possible international travel.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Travel Requirements:
25-50% travel likely.
