Job Description

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent manufacturing company, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team! This is a full-time position in a professional environment offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement!
Quality Engineer Job Summary:
Schedule:
Monday to Friday Serve as a customer liaison for reporting external failures. Act as an internal liaison for quality problems including problem solving and follow-up. Participate in continuous improvement activities such as scrap and downtime reduction. Daily review and disposition of customer returns. Analyze returns and report on monthly PPM. Conduct monthly MQC (Control Plan)/IS/FMEA audits. Support operations and production of parts. Perform warranty and service part analysis when requested. Lead daily Kaizen reporting on the plant floor. Lead daily strike team meetings until issues are closed out. Support QC Technicians and Lab Technicians in decision making. Lead scrap reduction initiatives and improve top production issues. Submit continuous improvement ideas. Lead internal and external audits (IATF system knowledge preferred). Participate in customer meetings, planning, and documentation.
Quality Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline + 1 year experience, or Associate's degree + 3 years experience, or Non-degreed + 5+ years of experience in a related field or related area, or equivalent combination of education, training, and recent, relevant industry experience is required. Experience with Tier 1 OEMs and new vehicle launches preferred. Experience with gauges and gauge makers. Proficiency in integrated computer programs/applications. Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs. Effective professional writing and group presentation skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Certification may be required in some areas. Why Zing?
