Quality Engineer Job Summary:
A Quality Engineer for aerospace thermoplastic composites plays a pivotal role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet stringent industry standards and customer expectations. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of quality systems specific to aerospace composites . Job Duties- Develop quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
- Develop sampling plans by applying attribute, variable and sequential sampling methods. Review and approve supplier
- Implement and maintain appropriate statistical tools to monitor and reduce product variation.
- Collect, Analyze, and present statistical information to company management.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Operations and Process Engineering to identify and resolve production and quality system deficiencies.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement, Mistake-Proofing, and Lean Manufacturing activities.
- Inspection plan, procedure and document creation as required.
- Provide training and oversight of all Quality/Project personnel.
- Lead company root cause analysis and corrective action program.
- Investigate and correct quality issues; address customer concerns and inquiries.
- Conduct and support internal/supplierAS/Nadcap/customer audits.
- Review and approve drawings and other technical documents as required.
- Support quoting, R&D, improvement and qualification activities.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Train inspectors on new instructions, processes/procedures, tools, etc.
- Fulfill the duties of the Company Quality Manager in the Quality Manager's absence.
