This is a 6 month+ contract position with our client, a Joliet area-based food ingredients manufacturer. Salary Target $60.00-$65.00 per hour Overview This client is a food ingredient manufacturer. They are searching for 2 Reliability Engineers to join their team. You'll report to the Sr. Reliability Manager and support extending and optimizing equipment assets for multiple locations in the Midwest. You'll deliver and sustain reliability programs and performance. You'll lead maintenance and reliability excellence for optimizing downtime and fixed costs. You'll partner with local and regional teams (leadership operations directors , plant managers, reliability and plant maintenance teams). You'll support asset care implementation, preventive maintenance optimization, root cause failure analysis, coordinating predictive training, monitoring and promoting improvement of reliability metrics, data analysis, and implementation support for new equipment projects. You'll travel (up to 50%) to plants (mostly in the Midwest) as part of your responsibilities.Responsibilities:
Supports sites in analyzing downtime, identifying and correcting root cause issues, and eliminating bad actors. Works closely with multiple plants within their area to ensure the Reliability Program (Asset Care) is fully implemented and is delivering the expected performance. Creates a teamwork environment among their assigned plants and facilitates sharing of best practices and incident learnings. Participates in project reviews to ensure reliability is included in designs and supports major project implementation and commissioning. Performs benchmarking in their area to identify the best and worst performing sites as well as opportunities to optimize production volumes and OPEX and CAPEX costs. Supports sites in implementing best practices and standards such as minimum PM-PdM strategy, asset criticality, lubrication, and work management. Enforces global and regional policies such as management of change, downtime reporting, and RCA investigations. Analyzes plant maintenance metrics to identify gaps and improve performance Works together with the plant teams to optimize planned downtime, including reviewing the list of work to be completed during slowdowns and major shutdowns. Assists in developing the annual maintenance budgets (including major shutdown spending), and monthly spend analysis Serves as the maintenance and reliability SME for their area and maintains professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning.Qualifications:
BS in Engineering or related technical program SMRP training and/or Certifications in Vibration 1 Infrared 1 Oil Analysis 1 and Ultrasonic 1 are pluses 15 years in Maintenance with at least 5 years' experience with predictive technologies Able to travel up to 50% to plants mostly in the Midwest Working knowledge of: Vibration data collectors and software, ultrasonic tools, IR camera, motor circuit analyzer and similar technologies Predictive maintenance strategy development and optimization Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis reviews, 5-Why and other approaches Food industry and business Leadership Possess a servant leadership style that can collaborate with Operations VPs and maintenance technicians. Advanced leadership skills in transforming reliability cultures and ability to turn around difficult sites Proven change management skills involving difficult conditions and urgent timelines (complex business processes, people, teams and functions). Record of coaching and developing others without direct reporting lines Ability to work autonomously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills Excellent administrative and analytical skills Advanced skills in SAP (highly preferred) Plant Maintenance and Material Management Modules or other ERP systems with/or CMMS What happens next: Once you apply, you'll proceed to next steps if your skills and experience look like a good fit.
