1st Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Position Summary Quality Engineering role supports manufacturing quality operations and continuous improvement initiatives. The position is integrated into the engineering environment and performs defined quality engineering assignments of limited scope under the guidance of experienced engineers. Work plans, analyses, and recommendations are typically reviewed by senior team members. Key Responsibilities Support the analysis of manufacturing processes, materials, equipment, and systems to improve product quality, efficiency, and overall process performance. Assist in evaluating and validating proposed engineering solutions through feasibility studies, testing activities, and data collection. Support the development, implementation, and review of engineering standards, specifications, and quality requirements. Conduct inspections and quality evaluations under the direction of senior engineers to assess product, process, and system compliance with applicable specifications and regulatory requirements. Coordinate activities with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders while serving as a point of contact within established quality and project frameworks. Identify process, system, and procedural improvement opportunities and participate in corrective and preventive action initiatives. Support knowledge-sharing activities and promote the effective use of quality management tools and systems. Participate in product development and manufacturing engineering activities by analyzing customer and business requirements and supporting product realization efforts. Contribute to project execution by supporting established project plans and ensuring quality objectives are achieved. Manufacturing Quality Support Responsibilities Provide daily quality support to production operations by managing non-conforming material, scrap reduction initiatives, material review activities, and product cleanliness verification processes. Serve as the primary Quality representative for assigned manufacturing areas, such as machining, plating, welding, assembly, and related production operations. Work closely with production personnel to address quality concerns, investigate issues, and minimize risks impacting product quality. Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends and drive corrective actions. Support the preparation and maintenance of quality reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics. Maintain and utilize automated quality data collection and analysis systems to monitor product and process performance. Participate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing quality and operational effectiveness.
