Job Description

Essential Job Functions:
Become familiar with customer Specific Quality System Requirements including the customer specific portal. Act as liaison with external parties (customer & supplier) on matters relating to assigned product. Head all APQP efforts, responsible for reviewing and updating as needed. Process flow diagrams. Process control plans. Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis plans. Manufacturing work instructions. Quality Inspection instructions. Error proofing effectiveness. Internally collected variable and attribute data. BOM accuracy. Responsible for managing customer issues. Internal product sorts / quality alerts. Interim corrective actions. Permanent corrective actions. Answering to the customer on any concerns/issues they have, including written and verbal. Train employees to quality issues as needed. Develop, document, and provide for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, production, and quality through layered process auditing and scrap reduction. Read and Interpret GD & T and applying that knowledge as needed. Perform Problem-solving Techniques. Perform Process Capabilities using Statistical Techniques as needed. Be familiar with supplier PPAP's and procedures. Supports IATF16949 andISO14001
initiatives. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred and three years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing facility. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Must possess strong math skills and mechanical aptitude. Ability to apply common sense understanding to resolve conflicts and to hand issues involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsBenefits
