- Management of customer specifications integration to manufacturing and monitor attribute results for continual improvement opportunities
- Participate as a Quality Representative on New Product / New Equipment Teams to ensure all new products and processes meet Quality Requirements. Make updates/changes to plant Quality Systems as needed to accommodate new products and processes.
- Acts as plant representative on division quality teams for new products, and existing quality systems audits.
- Facilitates root cause analysis on products and processes not meeting specified requirements. Works with supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering on completing sustainable solutions which are compliant with our quality system and customer agreements.
- Participates in quality system improvements including those focused on product disposition tools and inventory management.
- Engage with IT and controls to provide accessible and integrated data associated with product measurements
- Evaluates the impact of product, process and equipment changes on product attributes and quality architectures including capability assessments.
- Analyze data to develop, implement and measure internal attribute targets and improvement plans.
- Understand internal and external customers' stated and implied needs as well as ensuring their expectations are met every time by monitoring, maintaining, supporting and continuously improving plant quality systems.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel expected (10% or less)Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Typically 8 AM- 5 PM Monday
- Friday, some flex including off shift and weekend coverage is possible to support production.
Experiences/Education
Required Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors in a Technical field (Engineering preferred)
- Minimum of 1-2 + years' in manufacturing/process experience; quality experience preferred, will consider internship experience.
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with product specifications and measurements
- Technical curiosity and independent, self-directed leader
- Ability to learn and understand with multiple areas in the plant in order to prioritize work and resources
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
- Ability to drive to root cause analysis and direct Engineering solutions
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal to all levels of an organization
- Ability to learn and develop quality systems
- Ability to articulate risks and influence decisions on product quality
- Ability to make decisions independently based upon sound engineering and scientific methods
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to design, execute and analyze experiments using statistical tools
- Experience with data collection and data analysis software and techniques, including Excel, SPC XL, Pi, Access, etc.

- Statistical Process Control understanding
- DMAIC Green Belt training/certification
