This position will review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to verify that products are manufactured in accordance with design requirements. The Quality Engineer will support inspection activities, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, specifications, and customer requirements. Verify product dimensions, materials, tolerances, and performance requirements against engineering specifications. Develop and implement inspection plans, quality procedures, and acceptance criteria. Conduct first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product evaluations. Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure design requirements are properly understood and executed. Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement. Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and customer requirements. Review non-conforming materials and recommend disposition actions. Create and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, control plans, PFMEAs, and work instructions. Participate in new product introductions and design reviews to ensure manufacturability and quality requirements are met. Coordinate with suppliers regarding quality concerns and corrective actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable industry standards. Work Environment This position operates in a combination of office and manufacturing settings and requires regular interaction with engineering, production, suppliers, and customers to ensure product quality and compliance with design requirements.
