ON THE JOB TRAINING - QUALITY ENGINEER REQUIRED TASKS 1.
Ensure preparation and on-time delivery of new product Launch related Customer Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages 2. Ensure initial capability studies are properly performed and documented for initial builds and product changes affecting special characteristics, and that Customer and internal requirements are met (or a written Customer deviation is obtained) 3. Ensure the appropriate inspection plans and containment plans are developed for Launch 4. Facilitate/participate in the Manufacturing development of Process Flows (PF) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) documents for Launch programs 5. Provide daily engineering support of production part dimensional concerns or gage issues. 6. Develop work instructions. Implement, and train appropriate personnel regarding quality systems and provide training records to Human Resources. 7. Review/update process flow diagrams 8. Facilitate and ensure development of Design and Process Control Plans based on customer requirements, characteristic matrix and FMEAs. Other Tasks 8. Performs layouts, ensuring dimensional compliance to specifications and works closely with manufacturing engineering to correct discrepancies 9. Investigate customer claims and complaints. Ensure containment activities are in place and using root cause analysis, implementation a number of countermeasures and/or corrective actions. 10. Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool, 6 panel, etc. 11. Manage and direct statistical process control activities.

Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently. 13. Assist with providing leadership in problem solving and the concept of continual improvement 14. Provides clear and concise written and verbal guidance and feedback to support all team member and leadership 15. Facilitates and /or participates as a member of teams and attends a variety of meetings to share information, solve problems and cooperate with as a team member. 16. Participates in the Continuous Improvement Process and applies team principles, identifying areas for improvement, assisting with problem solving and recommending changes.
