Full Job Description Position Description:

This PVT (Plant Vehicle Team) Engineer position is located at the OEM's Kansas City Assembly Plant (KCAP) where the Vehicle and Transit vehicle lines are built. PVT Engineers are the 'first line of defense' regarding functional system quality for the products build at the assembly plant. As a PVT engineer, you will handle ongoing product development and improve the quality of the Vehicle/Transit as related to the electrical systems of these vehicles (i.e., electrical distribution, electronic switches, 12V battery, module software and hardware, and sensors).

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field 2+ years' experience as Product/Quality Engineer in Electrical /

Software Environment Experience Preferred:

Master of Science Degree in Electrical/Software Engineering or closely related field 3+ years of experience as Product/Quality Engineer in Electrical / Software Environment Automotive Industry related experience Strong problem solving and decision-making skills 6 Sigma training is preferred Experience working in GSAR/JIRA/IRIS/SIMPSN/QED/SREA and WERS Good communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work well with people, specifically in assembly plant environment Proficient user of Microsoft Office Applications Experience with vehicle OBD systems and CAN networking in-vehicle

•Deliver vehicle line quality objectives Manage warranty issue tracking and resolution Identify opportunities for high impact warranty improvement actions Evaluate external issues and drive changes in internal measurement system and/or containment actions Lead/support and coordinate issue containment/resolution of internal/external issues with Product Development, Supplier and Production teams Lead/support launch events (part sign-off, issue resolution, electrical testing) Lead production trials Assist in troubleshooting/repair of units
