The Customer Quality Engineer at Sika will play a key role ensuring Injection Mold production efficiency through process design and development, and direct production support.
Serve as customer representative for product issues (quality, deliveries and other customer requests).Lead and direct customer issues to closure, by gathering appropriate teams and problem-solving using tools such as 8Ds, 5Ps, DWDP, 5-Whys and other such documents, per customer requirements.
Maintain daily quality (PPM and other targets) and cost (internal and external costs) data for all customers as well as at the Grandview plant level.
Fulfills all new parts submission (PPAP) requirements.
Provide on-site problem resolution at customer locations.
Coordinate quarantine and containment actions at the customer locations and Grandview plant.
Work closely with the Launch Department to perform Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new product launches and Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) for product and/or process changes.
Coordinate, lead, facilitate and coach efforts within all Sika Operations to achieve and maintain customer satisfaction.
Develop, implement, and deploy methods of communication of customer performance.
Champion continuous improvement efforts to assure continued customer satisfaction.
Develop, coordinate, and implement projects to improve efficiency and decrease scrap.
Provide leadership to attain Customer Quality Awards.
