Motor Components, LLC is a global leader in the electronic fuel pump industry, seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to provide support and improve product and process quality within the organization. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for: ensuring products meet specifications and customer requirements timely; analyzing quality data, perform root cause analysis, processing corrective actions and maintaining quality procedures, documentation and records within a manufacturing environment; support product testing, validation activities, along with both internal and external quality audits; improve product reliability and process consistency by working with Production and Engineering Departments to resolve quality issues. Relevant Experience and Skills:

• At a minimum, two-year degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology is required, although four-year Engineering degree is preferred. Certified Quality Engineer is a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in a quality manufacturing environment preferred
• Proficient understanding in the design of processing of electro-mechanical devices
• Knowledge/experience related to the solenoid and motor driven fuel pumps is a plus
• Understanding/knowledge of inspection methods and product testing; experience with quality systems and documentation
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of Lean and ISO
• Possesses "hand on" as well as theoretical approach to solving problems within a team atmosphere
• Knowledge of defect prevention and process improvement methods; Self-starter with high motivation in solving manufacturing problems
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment; Supervisory experience a plus
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications; Experience with data analysis and quality metrics
• Ability to manage own time, priorities, and resources to achieve company goals and objectives, both in manufacturing setting and office environment.
