• Quality assurance What you would do Typical responsibilities could include: Developing and executing validation test plans and protocols for mechanical, electrical and controls subsystems Designing and conducting functional, performance and safety testing in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements Documenting test results, failure analysis and corrective actions within a quality management system Collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to identify validation requirements and design controls Coordinating with stakeholders across engineering and quality to ensure validation milestones support product launch timelines Contributing to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and validation processes Supporting field application reviews and post-market surveillance activities What you could bring Most roles of this type require the following: Must-have 2-5 years of hands-on validation, testing or quality assurance experience in engineering or life sciences Demonstrated knowledge of QMS (Quality Management System) frameworks and best practices Proficiency with testing protocols, design control documentation and regulatory compliance concepts Strong technical foundation in mechanical, electrical or controls engineering Experience with CAD proficiency or equivalent technical documentation tools Manufacturing and field application familiarity Authorization to work in the United States Nice-to-have ISTQB Certified Tester or ISTQB Advanced Tester certification Experience in regulated industries (medical device, pharmaceutical, automotive) Familiarity with statistical analysis and design of experiments (DOE) Experience with automated test systems or data acquisition platforms What roles of this type could offer Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role: The opportunity to contribute directly to product quality and safety outcomes Exposure to end-to-end validation workflows, from design control through to market launch Collaboration with experienced engineers and quality professionals across multiple disciplines Potential for technical progression and deepening expertise in validation methodologies A structured environment supporting professional development and continuous learning Competitive benefits including health coverage, paid time off, retirement planning and flexible work arrangements where applicable About Specialist Staffing Group Specialist Staffing Group partners with leading organizations across engineering, life sciences, and regulated industries to build high-performing technical teams.
