Full Job Description Purpose:
The Reliability Engineering Technician supports product qualification, reliability testing, manufacturing troubleshooting, and compliance activities for electronic control products. This role resolves technical issues, assists with manufacturing process improvements, and supports the development and sustainment of reliable, compliant products throughout the product lifecycle in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, coordinate, and conduct product qualification, reliability, and compliance testing for electronic control products. Support development and document test methods, procedures, and reports for product validation and reliability objectives. Troubleshoot technical issues involving electronic controls, PCB assemblies, manufacturing, and test processes. Support failure analysis and corrective action activities to improve product reliability and manufacturability. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement of manufacturing, testing, and reliability processes. Support compliance and certification activities by coordinating product testing, documentation, and agency requirements. Support interpretation of customer, regulatory, and industry requirements and assess impacts to products and manufacturing processes. Assist with development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, process instructions, and technical records. Support safe operation and maintenance of reliability and test laboratory equipment and procedures. Analyze, summarize, and present test and process data to support product validation and process improvements.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology, or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, compliance, testing, or product certification environments preferred; co-op and internship experience considered. Understanding of electrical/electronic products, components, and manufacturing processes. Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems and interpret technical test data. Strong organizational, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
