  • Solutions Team About the Role We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Solutions Team and support new product development and project implementation from feasibility study through prototype, validation, customer approval, and handover to production.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that customer quality requirements are understood, implemented, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with Product Engineering, customers, suppliers, production, and other business units to ensure robust quality planning, effective risk management, and successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Customer Quality & Relationship Management Establish and strengthen relationships with customer quality representatives. Act as a key contact for customer quality topics during development and project phases. Understand and implement customer quality systems and specific requirements, such as ZF QR 83 or similar customer standards. Manage and attend customer quality audits. Support the resolution of customer quality issues for PSD projects until at least handover to production. Prepare quality documentation according to customer requirements. Project & Cross-Functional Support Support Product Engineers with feasibility studies. Actively exchange information with other Business Units within the Sinter Group network. Support quality planning activities during new product development and prototype phases. Work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, and other internal teams. Support product cost optimization from a quality and process perspective. Define and implement continuous improvement activities. Quality Planning & Documentation Prepare control plans for slug and prototype manufacturing. Prepare and update control plans and inspection sheets.
Prepare quality documentation such as:
Process flow charts Capability studies Inspection reports Measurement reports Customer-specific quality documents Define quality requirements for suppliers. Approve supplier samples. Support APQP and PPAP activities for customer projects. Measurement, Inspection & Testing Review drawings with focus on measurement requirements, techniques, and equipment. Define and design measuring equipment and CAQ inspection sketches. Support procurement and approval of measuring equipment. Measure and package prototypes, off-tool parts, and off-process parts. Ensure inspection methods and measurement equipment are suitable for customer and internal requirements. Support measurement system analysis and capability evaluations. Audits, Risk Management & Supplier Quality Perform internal process audits, including supplier audits where required. Identify process and product risks and define appropriate preventive actions. Perform and support FMEA activities. Carry out risk identification and define resulting safety instructions. Support employees in the implementation of safety-related requirements. Automotive Core Tools Apply and support Automotive Core Tools throughout the project lifecycle, including: APQP

  • Statistical Process Control Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience in quality engineering, project quality, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or automotive quality preferred. Experience in an automotive supplier environment is an advantage. Knowledge of customer quality requirements and automotive standards. Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and SPC. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, tolerances, and inspection requirements. Understanding of measurement techniques, inspection methods, and measuring equipment. Experience with audits, control plans, process flow charts, inspection reports, and capability studies. Knowledge of CAQ systems or quality documentation systems is an advantage. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional internal teams.
